Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is born in Romania and is a Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already landed several television roles, including the lead role in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. Her fame was due to her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable role roles like Adolf's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning diva. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. The British biographical feature Control, the Greek-language drama The Dust of Time, and French history miniseries Napoleon are just a few of them. The actress was also a member of the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
