Alicia was hired by FilmStruck which is an TCM streaming service, in the year 2015. Malone took Robert Osborne's and Ben Mankiewicz's introductions and read them out loud in front of cameras before her TCM broadcasting channel hosting audition. Following her appearance in an interview to be considered for a Turner Classic Movies host position in 2017, the network offered her a job in the January following the audition. The Malone's TEDx presentation on the challenges women confront in Hollywood was just the second talk she delivered.
